The 59th JAIF ANNUAL CONFERENCE

概要

ABOUT

Empowering People
Maximizing Nuclear

The Japan Atomic Industrial Forum (JAIF) hosts its Annual Conference each spring, bringing together stakeholders from Japan and abroad. The conference aims to promote shared understanding and dialogue on key issues related to the development and utilization of energy and nuclear power, contributing to the sound growth of the nuclear industry.

The 59th Annual Conference will focus on challenges that policy and industry must address together as nuclear energy plays an increasingly vital role in achieving a decarbonized society. In particular, securing and developing a skilled workforce to sustain nuclear utilization is an urgent priority, and strengthening the foundation for the next generation is essential. Partnership with the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA)brings a truly global perspective, enriching discussions on workforce development, institutional frameworks, and technological innovation. By engaging stakeholders from government, academia, and industry worldwide, the Conference aims to tackle pressing challenges and foster collaboration for the sustainable future of nuclear energy.

VOICES OF THE 58TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS

I was deeply impressed by the fresh perspectives of young engineers and students. Although I had concerns about the future of the nuclear power industry, I now see a bright ray of hope.

The free registration slots for young professionals, offered with paid registration, have been a great opportunity for them to broaden their knowledge and envision a brighter future.

It was a valuable opportunity to hear not only from Japanese stakeholders but also from a global perspective. This experience has boosted my motivation for my own research.

As a student participant, I was encouraged by the professionals thriving in the nuclear industry and by fellow students who spoke as panelists. I want to join them and help energize the nuclear field.
