Ayhan YILDIZ

Director, Nuclear and Thermal Digital Transformation Department, EDF

Graduate from the INALCO Multilingual Research Center, Ayhan Yildiz has a post graduate specialized diploma in Engineering.

He began his career as an entrepreneur in 1991 and after several years focusing on Document Management Systems, Ayhan joins EDF R&D as the manager of the team in charge of Knowledge Valorization, Innovation, Standardization, and Information Consulting.

In 2004, he joins EDF’s entity in charge of the power distribution network, now called ENEDIS.

After being responsible for the Electricity Suppliers Exchange IT Management System, he assumed leadership on the implementation of smart-meters in France (Linky program), from 2007 to 2010.

Subsequently, he became Head of the Metering Department (Information Systems Directorate) and Head of the Systems Department (Technical Directorate), securizing the Linky IT systems and associated equipment through the industrialization of qualification processes, before taking the lead of the overall Linky program.

In December 2017, he was appointed Information Systems Director for the Business Market within EDF Customers & Energy Services Directorate, responsible for the major transformation of the Information Systems.

As of June 2021, he is the Director in charge of the Information Systems and Digital Transformation whithin the EDF Nuclear and Thermal Generation Directorate, dealing not only with the stakes of the existing fleets but also with the integration of the appropriate Digital Solutions in the new and future assets.
