Tatiana IVANOVA

Head of the Division of Nuclear Science and Education, OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA)

Dr. Tatiana Ivanova has served as Head of the Division of Nuclear Science and Education at the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) since 2017. She supports the NEA DirectorGeneral in advancing initiatives in nuclear science, education, human capacity building, and international collaboration. With over 35 years of experience in nuclear research and safety assessment, she has worked on reactor physics, fuel cycle science, criticality safety, materials and fuel behaviour, nuclear data, as well as knowledge management and education.

From 1989 to 2005, Dr. Ivanova held successive technical and managerial positions at the Institute for Physics and Power Engineering (IPPE) in Obninsk, Russia, specialising in fast reactor design. Prior to joining the NEA, she was Deputy Head of the Reactor Physics Research and Safety Assessment Laboratory at the Institut de radioprotection et de sûreté nucléaire (IRSN) in France. Her international career spans key research and leadership roles across several countries.
