MASUI Hideki
President & CEO, Japan Atomic Industrial Forum, Inc. (JAIF)
With over 37 years of professional experience in the nuclear industry, including more than 20 years in executive and senior management roles, Mr. Hideki Masui has served as President and CEO of the Japan Atomic Industrial Forum (JAIF) since June 2024.
Prior to this, he was Executive Officer and Deputy Chief Nuclear Officer at Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc. (TEPCO), where he oversaw business planning, organizational development, and financial management. During his tenure, he gained extensive experience both at headquarters and at nuclear power stations in areas including nuclear safety management, overseas research, seismic countermeasures, codes and standards, radioactive waste disposal, and chemical management. He also served as Chief Reactor Engineer at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station, where he was responsible for overseeing reactor safety.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the Kyoto University and, after professional experience in the nuclear field, earned a master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
