YOSHIMURA Masahito

Chairperson, Strategy Working Group, Japan Nuclear Human Resource Development Network (JN-HRD.NET)

Mr. Yoshimura, currently serves as General Manager for Hitach, Ltd. Nuclear Energy Business Unit, has more than 40 years of experience in nuclear business field since he joined Hitachi, Ltd. in 1982. He has spent most of his career in project management and project development of nuclear new build. Besides the role in Hitachi, he has also actively participated in nuclear human resource development activities and is chairing several committees in the Japan Nuclear Human Resource Development Network (JN-HRD.Net).

Before he was assigned the current position in 2021, he had served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Business Development and Management Division of Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy, Ltd. since 2015, and was leading global nuclear business development activities of the company. From 2012-2015, he served as Vice President in charge of Global Alliance and Government Affairs, and from 2004-2012, he served as General Manager of the Overseas Project Management Department.

Mr. Yoshimura holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Nuclear Engineering from Tokyo University and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University.
