TAKAMURA Yasuhiro

Fukushima prefectural Soma high school Teacher

Yasuhiro Takamura is a high school teacher in Fukushima, Japan. He received his Master of Science in Physics from the Graduate School of Science, Yamagata University in 1998. He began his teaching career at Fukushima Prefectural Futaba Shoyo High School, and subsequently taught at Fukushima Prefectural Nihonmatsu Technical High School (1999–2003) and Fukushima Prefectural Soma High School (2003–2012).
At Soma High School, he was involved in the planning and operation of the Super Science High School (SSH) programme (2004–2009), administered by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), and the Scientific Research Practice Activity Promotion Programme (2009–2012), administered by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).
After 2012, he worked at Fukushima Prefectural Shinchi High School (2012–2022) and Fukushima Prefectural Iwakisakuragaoka High School (2022–2025). Since 2025, he has been teaching at Fukushima Prefectural Soma High School.
