Since his appointment at the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1991, he has focused on nuclear education in the Department of Nuclear Engineering (now the Graduate Major in Nuclear Engineering) at the graduate school.
He has also actively implemented educational program activities under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
He served as the representative for the “Advanced Human Resource Development and Deepening Fundamental Research in Decommissioning Engineering (2013–2019)” program.
Currently, as the representative of the “Science Tokyo Nuclear Innovator Cultivation Program (2020–)”, he is actively engaged in developing graduate students through international activities.
Additionally, since 2019, he has served as a member of the Strategy Working Group of the Japan Nuclear Human Resources Development Network, and since 2020, he has also served as the chair of the Supports to NPP Newcomer Countries HRD Sub Working Group.
