Master’s degree from the Department of Quantum Science and Energy Engineering, Tohoku University.

Mr. Sato joined Toshiba Corporation’s Nuclear Energy Systems & Services Division as an engineer in 2009. Since joining Toshiba Corporation, he has engaged in the system design work of Emergency Core Cooling System, Reactor Auxiliary Systems and so on.

After the Fukushima Daiichi accident, he was assigned to the work of consideration for safety upgrades, addition of safety improvement systems, and application of new technologies, to existing nuclear power plants and next-generation nuclear reactors.
